Affordable Health Insurance
I left my full-time job a few years ago. I now work with my husband, who is self employed. When I left my job I left behind great insurance coverage. Before I quit, my husband and I looked into availability of health insurance for self-employed business owners.
We knew up-front that we’d be paying quite a bit for premiums and have deductibles and co-insurance but we also knew that we couldn’t be without health insurance. It was easy to go online and find policy specifics and costs for lots of different health insurance companies. We were able to find the coverage and premium that worked best for us.
Whether you’re employed full-time or part-time or if you’re self-employed you can’t be without health insurance. If you’re lucky your employer picks up a portion of the cost, if not, you’re going to need to look into insurance coverage. I work, but my employer does not offer health insurance. My husband is self-employed. What we did was go online and look into health insurance for self-employed people.
We were able to see the plans and costs for lots of different insurance companies, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, and many others. We were able to pick a policy that was affordable. We now have piece of mind when it comes to our health care costs.
