Public Commitment and Image
Members of the British Royal Household take part in tens of hundreds of royal activities year on year, across the United Kingdom, as properly recorded in the Court Circular, to honour, support & be taught about the triumphs or performances of people institutions & companies in a variety of sections of life. As representatives of the Queen, they regularly unite with the nation in observing past incidents, festivals, celebratory and dreadful affairs and repeatedly also sponsors or joins in many generous, intellectual & social activities.
Their travels abroad on behalf of the United Kingdom (called State Appointments when the Queen publicly meets with other heads of state) draws public awareness to good associations within & between the Commonwealth and other nations, to British produce and trade, and to Britain as a historical, vacation, & sightseer destination. Their current jobs & time-honoured jobs constitute the apex of a modern “royal court,” and offer a uniquely British & historical display to official services (e.g. Trooping the Colour) and flavour to public shows (For example, Garden Parties, Ascot).
During their lives they draw a massive amount of journalist exposure in the form of pictorial, written and telecast commentary on the subject of their daily lives, family affairs, rites of passage, qualities, fashion, manners, and public positions.
Financial Support
Money that help the Royal Queen in the exercise of her position as the ruler of state of the UK comes from the Civil List. This is a return of a minute portion of the takings from the Crown Lands that are given up by the Queen to parliament at the creation of each reign; all Crown Land being run by The Crown Estates, an institution that is completely liable to parliament. In the 2003-04 financial year, the total endowed was one hundred and seventy six million pounds, where the Queen’s outgoings was merely thirty-six million pounds. The Queen’s overheads does not however encompass the cost of security. Visit Enjoy England today to find out about the Royal Family History.
