I had decided to take a vacation in the Caribbean and considering I’m not very internet-savvy, the travel agency close to my house seemed like a great option. On my way home from work I poked my head in and noticed a whole line of brochures on Caribbean destinations. A relaxing holiday in the Caribbean was exactly what I was looking for. As I went through the brochures, a nice long list of vacation homes and resort hotels were on display. Aruba, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and many others. But Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic caught my eye. The vacation homes and resort hotels here seemed like paradise on earth.

I was surprised to find so many brochures on one teeny tiny place like Punta Cana which made me think that perhaps it wasn’t so teeny tiny after all. Quickly I had gathered four brochures of various vacation homes and resort hotels in Punta Cana. The people behind the desks seemed extremely busy so I made my exit quietly without any questions. I decided that I’d probably come the next day after I had chosen a particular place to stay in Punta Cana.

When I reached home, I was happy that I had taken a detour to the travel agency. On previous occasions whenever I chose to take a holiday, my cousin would book my tickets for me. This time, instead of bothering her and dealing with her incessant questions, I’d just talk to some of the nice people at the travel agency. Right after dinner, I cozied up on the couch with the brochures.

There were so many amazing vacation homes and resort hotels to choose from. I couldn’t make up my mind. They were all extremely enticing. But I narrowed it down to two. I decided to ask the travel agent to make a recommendation among the two.

I waited all day for work to end so I could make a beeline for the travel agency. When I reached there, I was shocked to see that everything there had been packed into boxes. They were moving to a different district. I was disappointed that I could no longer book my holiday with them.

As I looked at the vacation homes and resort hotels on my list I knew that I would have to call my cousin to book my Caribbean vacation, yet again.
