uSwitch Survey Based on Old Data, Says TalkTalk

TalkTalk recently called the survey report published by consumer website uSwitch grossly inaccurate. The report states that most broadband customers spend millions of dollars while waiting on hold during technical support calls., it also claims that on an average, customers spend something like £1.75 per call just in waiting. Moreover, the report also states that only one fourth of the customers actually get their problems solved in the first round.

TalkTalk has been offended by a remark in the report which claims that the company’s tech support actually makes customers wait for as long as 12 minutes on the line. The company’s representatives have stated that this report is based on old data and that too on the replies to broad questions like the amount of time spent on hold.

TalkTalk has stated that it has better reports that are more accurately gained from monitoring the time of every single call made to the company. According to the data collated by the company, a TalkTalk customer spent 53 seconds on hold in the month of September.

TalkTalk representatives further added that despite the actual figures being far lower than the industry average, the company is constantly striving to improve its service so that customers have to wait the least.

The survey report mentions Orange and Tiscali as the worst performers in customer satisfaction. If you require more information on the services of various ISP’s, click on best broadband providers for the latest on the service providers offerings.
